Industrial Trainee

Overview

Industrial training (or articleship, for Chartered Accountancy students) is where most finance careers actually begin — rotating across audit, accounting, taxation, and reporting work under supervision, usually while still completing a professional qualification. It's less about deep specialization and more about building the fundamentals: how real financial statements are put together, how controls work in practice, and enough breadth to figure out which specialization actually fits.
